Working Muscles Lab
Do the following stretches and exercises. On the line provided, write the name of the muscles that are being stretched or worked.
1) Stand and hang your arms at your side with your palms facing forward. (Pretend you have a soup can in your hand.) Lift the “soup can” towards your shoulder. Then lower your arm again. What muscle are you working? (the one main muscle) |
9) Stand with feet shoulders-width apart. Step forward, so the back knee is at a 90 degree angle, almost touching the floor. The front knee should also be at a 90 degree angle, with the front knee directly over the center of the foot. Push back up to standing. Repeat with the other leg.
