Steampunk Project ideas
You are to make a "creation" - a drawing, a model, an airship, an outfit, a....? (be creative!) with the materials we have at hand, and what you can bring in. You will then write a steampunk story about your creation - what it's used for, how it might play a role in your story, etc. Below are some links to help you with some ideas as a jumping-off point.
Elements of a Short Story:
Rankin Bass' 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
As a group, watch the 5 parts of the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (about 41 minutes total). As you watch, write a 1/2 page paragraph on your own, explaining how 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea fits the Steampunk ideas.
